We are looking for a Venue Manager
We are seeking an energetic, independent, and self-starting Venue Manager to take complete ownership of venue management, event logistics, client relations, and revenue strategy. This role requires a unique balance of warm, high-touch hospitality for couples planning their wedding day and a polished, professional demeanor for executive corporate events and non-profit galas. As Venue Manager, you will lead the client journey from initial inquiry and tour through event execution and follow-up, ensuring every event meets our standard of 5-star service while driving business profitability.
Key Performance Results
As the venue leader, you will focus daily on three core results:
Client Acquisition & Retention: Drive new and repeat bookings across weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations by leading engaging venue tours and executing proactive sales strategies.
Revenue Growth & Cost Management: Expand overall revenue through strategic upsells—including beverage packages, decor rentals, and Day-of Coordination (DOC)—while maintaining strict inventory controls and cost efficiency.
5-Star Operational Excellence: Oversee seamless event execution, vendor alignment, and facility upkeep to ensure exceptional guest experiences and outstanding reviews.
Primary Responsibilities:
Client Experience & Event Logistics
Lead client communications from inquiry to event day, conducting touchpoint check-ins at 6 months, 3 months, and 30 days prior to events.
Conduct detailed planning meetings to build customized event floor plans and finalize event timelines.
Serve as the primary day-of contact for clients, vendor teams, and guests, maintaining a calm, proactive, and problem-solving presence.
Business Development & Sales
Manage incoming inquiries across web channels and industry portals (e.g., The Knot, WeddingPro), driving prospective clients to book private venue tours.
Host engaging venue tours, present pricing packages, and follow up systematically to convert leads into bookings.
Identify and execute upsell opportunities, such as custom signature drink packages, decor add-ons, and upgraded Day-of Coordination packages.
Operations, Facility & Inventory Management
Take full venue ownership, performing regular supply counts across liquor, cleaning products, decor items, and facility repair needs.
Coordinate facility maintenance, building updates, and vendor communications with property managers to keep the space in pristine condition.
Review margins on beverage and rental packages to maximize return on investment while controlling operational expense.
Team Leadership & Administrative Management
Schedule, train, and manage event staff, including bartenders, venue managers, and ceremony flip teams.
Oversee administrative workflow: process contracts, record deposit payments, maintain client folders, and manage tip logs and payroll prep.
Direct venue decor open houses, design planning, and creative content strategy across social platforms.
Candidate Qualifications & Characteristics
Self-Starter & Independent Operator: Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing complex timelines and operational workflows without micro-management.
Client-Obsessed & Passionate: Genuine enthusiasm for guiding couples through one of the most important days of their lives, providing empathetic and high-touch support.
Corporate Polish: Exceptional communication skills and an executive presence tailored for corporate decision-makers and planners.
Ownership Mindset: Strong financial acumen with a focus on growing venue revenue, maximizing package profitability, and limiting unnecessary costs.
Flexibility: Willingness to work weekend and evening event schedules as required by venue operations.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: Competitive base salary commensurate with experience.
Performance Incentives: Tiered bonus/incentive structure directly linked to venue revenue growth, sales upsells, and bottom-line profitability.
